These ethical guidelines must be followed by authors, editors, reviewers, advisory editorial boards, publishers, and readers. The goal is to ensure that all parties involved in the publication process are committed to the highest ethical standards and responsible academic behavior.
Articles submitted to Jurnal Silatene must be based on original scientific research that has not been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere. The proposed articles can come from fields such as social sciences, humanities, education, language and literature studies, and community service activities. Jurnal Silatene is a peer-reviewed journal, and articles are assessed by experts in the field.

Authors' Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscript is original and not plagiarized. If authors use data or references from other works, they must acknowledge the sources appropriately.
Plagiarism, in any form, including direct copying without proper attribution, using others' ideas without citation, or submitting the same article in multiple journals (self-plagiarism), is considered unethical and is not acceptable in Jurnal Silatene.
Similarity index: The maximum similarity index allowed for submitted articles is 20%.
Scientific Reason:
"Limiting the similarity index to a maximum of 20% ensures that the submitted article reflects the author's original contribution to the field, reduces the risk of unethical duplication, and maintains the credibility of the research. This is critical for upholding the academic value and authenticity of the published work.". Authors must acknowledge the original authorship when citing research or other published works. An article may be written by one or more authors, as long as all individuals significantly contributed to the research.
Articles originating from research funded by external sponsors must include acknowledgment of the funding sources. If others contributed substantively to the research, they should be recognized as contributors. Authors must also ensure that they have the consent of all co-authors before submitting the manuscript for publication. The corresponding author should be clearly identified, and they will be responsible for communication with the editor for substantive revisions.
Editors' Responsibilities
Editors play a crucial role in determining which articles will be published. They are responsible for evaluating each article based on its academic quality, relevance, and adherence to ethical standards. Editors must ensure that the evaluation process is transparent, fair, and free from outside influence, such as advertising or commercial interests.
Selection Process:
Editors ensure that articles submitted to Jurnal Silatene meet the journal's quality standards and align with its thematic scope. Articles undergo a rigorous peer review process and are only accepted for publication if they meet the necessary academic standards.
Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts under consideration, including the authors' identities and the contents of the manuscripts, to avoid conflicts of interest during the editorial process.
Reviewers' Responsibilities
Reviewers are responsible for providing constructive, objective feedback on the articles submitted for publication. They should assess the manuscript's academic strength, clarity of argumentation, accuracy of methodology, and relevance to the field of study.
Reviewers must keep the contents of the article confidential and refrain from using the information gained during the review process for personal gain or any other purposes outside of the peer review process. Reviewers should also avoid conflicts of interest with the authors or articles being reviewed. If they feel a potential conflict exists, they must disclose it to the editor.
Fundamental Errors in Published Articles
If an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in a published article, they are required to promptly notify the editor or editorial board. The author should work with the editor to retract or correct the article.
If the errors involve data or findings that are incorrect, the author must take immediate steps to correct the issue and inform readers. This is essential for maintaining the academic integrity of the research.
