• Manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published in another journal, book, proceeding, website, or other publication medium.
• Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are required to submit a Turnitin or other similarity report showing a similarity index of 20% or less.
• Authors must include a statement of originality confirming that the manuscript is original and is not under simultaneous consideration by another publication.

Silatene: Jurnal Sosial & Humaniora welcomes scholarly manuscripts including:

• empirical research using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches;
• theoretical and conceptual studies;
• critical and scholarly literature reviews; and
• policy analyses relevant to the social sciences and humanities.

• Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian.
• Articles should contain a minimum of 12 pages, including references, tables, figures, and appendices where applicable.

The manuscript should provide the article title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and author email address(es) according to the journal template.

• Abstracts should be provided in Indonesian and English.
• Maximum length: 250 words.
• The abstract should concisely describe the Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
• Provide 3–5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.

• explain the research background and academic problem;
• identify the research gap or unresolved scholarly issue;
• integrate relevant previous literature into the introduction rather than presenting it solely as a disconnected literature review section;
• clearly state the research objectives; and
• explain the academic contribution of the study to the relevant fields of social sciences and humanities.

• clearly explain the research design, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, or other appropriate approaches;
• describe data sources and research participants or units of analysis where applicable;
• explain data collection techniques; and
• describe data analysis procedures and relevant methodological considerations.

• present research findings clearly and systematically;
• tables and figures should be relevant, readable, and appropriately numbered;
• image-based figures should use high-resolution .jpg or .png formats;
• critically discuss findings by relating them to relevant theories, concepts, and previous research.

• summarize the principal findings of the research;
• explain theoretical, practical, social, or policy implications where applicable; and
• provide appropriate recommendations or directions for future research.

• References should follow APA 7th Edition or Chicago Style.
• Manuscripts should contain a minimum of 18 references.
• Approximately 80% of references should preferably consist of relevant scholarly journal articles, while books, institutional publications, official websites, and other academically credible sources may comprise up to approximately 20%.

Manuscripts must include at least two relevant references from Silatene Journal. References should be academically relevant to the topic and appropriately integrated into the manuscript.

• Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially and provided with clear descriptive titles, for example: Table 1. Respondent Demographics.
• Sources should be provided below tables or figures where applicable.

The maximum permitted similarity index is 20%. Similarity reports may be evaluated editorially to determine whether identified similarities constitute acceptable quotations, references, methodological language, or inappropriate textual overlap.

1. Prepare the manuscript according to the journal template and save the final document in .docx format.
2. Submit the manuscript electronically through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
3. Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening before proceeding to the double-blind peer-review process.
4. Authors will receive editorial communication regarding revision, acceptance, rejection, or other necessary actions through the OJS platform and/or registered email address.

Requests concerning information already incorporated into a published scholarly record may be subject to limitations where continued retention is necessary to preserve authorship attribution, citation history, publication integrity, or other legitimate scholarly purposes.
